It was a Panther Party on Monday.

Two Nashua High School South teams bounced back from tough Battle of the Bridge losses yesterday, with the boys soccer team and girls volleyball teams coming out on top.

Also, Alvirne girls soccer vaulted over the .500 mark and the Hollis Brookline boys soccer team got win No. 8.

Here’s a look at a not-so-manic Monday:

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

NASHUA SOUTH 3, MERRIMACK 0

The Panthers evened their mark to 4-4 with a 25-17, 25-21, 25-14 sweep of the Tomahawks.

Leading the way for South were Katie Garlend (seven aces, three kills, two assists, two digs), Mia Suljic (eight kills, five digs, three aces) and Molly Lecklider (11 digs, two assists, two kills).

Lily Petrocelli had seven kills to pace Merrimack (1-7), which is at Salem on Wednesday while South visits Keene.

ALVIRNE 3, WINNACUNNET 0

The Broncos evened their record to 4-4 as setter/hitter Erin Stevens, senior middle hitter/blocker Laurin Carboneau, and junior outside hitter Diana McElhinney combined to lead the way.

The Broncos host Londonderry tonight at 7.

BOYS SOCCER

NASHUA SOUTH 2, MANAHCESTER MEMORIAL 0

The Panthers took advantage of a couple of opportunities while blanking the Crusaaders(6-3) to bounce back from their tough loss to Nashua North late last week.

Now 7-2, South hosts Concord on Thursday.

HOLLIS BROOKLINE 4, JOHN STARK 2

Nate McEvoy had two big assists, while the 8-1 Cavs got two goals from Ben Dufoe, and single tallies by Ryan Wisbey and Owen Damon, and an assist from Andrew Eckman.

HB hosts ConVal, who handed the Cavs their only loss, on Saturday.

GIRLS SOCCER

ALVIRNE 4, GOFFSTOWN 2

Alvirne got two goals from Lyla Davis and one each from Bella Coppi and Paige Boudreau (her ninth of the year) to improve to 5-4.

Mallory Busnach and Maddie Dlubac had assists while Paige McKinley had a strong game in net with 10 saves, several of them in big moments.

It’s a quick turnaround for the Broncos as they visit Londonderry tonight.
