VOLLEYBALL

MILFORD 3, CONVAL 1

The Spartans (5-4) vaulted over the .500 mark with a 26-24, 22-25, 25-12, 25-20 win.

Bailey Johnson led the way with 17 kills, 11 aces and four digs, while Hannah Harrington added 30 assists, an ace and two kills.

Also for Milford, Alena Letendre (12 kills, four digs), Abby Krulis (nine kills, one block, four aces), and Annalise Nassy (three aces) helped out.

JOHN STARK 3, SOUHEGAN 0

The visiting Sabers fought hard but suffered their ninth straight defeat, 25-22, 25-19, 25-16. Lizzie Benner had seven aces, while Julianna Koch added 15 digs and Julia Calontuoni had six aces to help the effort.

BOYS SOCCER

KINGSWOOD 4, SOUHEGAN 0

The Sabers’ tough season continues as they fell to 1-8. Finnegan Daly had seven saves in goal against the Knights, who improved to 9-2.

GIRLS SOCCER

MILFORD 6, PLYMOUTH 0

The Spartans (7-3-1) notched their fifth straight win with a shutout on the road. Claire Cote, Addi Hopkins and Nevaeh Fay had big contributions for the locals.

The Cavaliers captured their fifth win in a row with a victory over the Sabers (3-5) as McKenna Maguire led the offensive unit with four goals.

Kiera King and Rosalie DeSantis had one goal each. Addison Fyfe, Lily Bouchard and Lauren Holt each tallied an assist.

Goalie Bailey Dunn collected two saves.

LEBANON 1, SOUHEGAN 0

The Sabers fell to 3-7 losing a heartbreaker, as the Raiders’ lone goal trickled over the end line during a scramble in front of the net after Souhegan had thought it escaped danger.

Lyla Kimball led a great back line performance for the locals.

SABERS DO WELL IN VERMONT

Souhegan had top 10 finishes in both the boys and the girls Woods Trail Run in Thetford, Vt.

In the boys race, Souhegan finished fourth in a field of 55 with 226 points. Jarn and Dallen Noorda were 23rd (17:55) and 35th (18:15) respectively, while Taloosh Anderson (43), and Finley Irvine (55) also ran well.

In the girls race, the Sabers finished seventh, placing four runners in the top 70 of a field of over 400. Emma Jarnagin led Souhegan, finishing 26th in 21:47 while Stephanie Svendsen was 36th in 22:15. Audrey Littlefield (49th), Saray Bryson (66th) also ran well. Erin Taylor (88th completed the Souhegan scoring.

FIELD HOCKEY

PLYMOUTH 4, MILFORD 2

The Spartans (1-9-1) drop their eighth game in a row Friday afternoon. Mairead Kirby and Gabriella Forrence scored the goals and Willa Audley added an assist. Goalie Heather Whittier had 14 saves.
