MILFORD 51,

MANCHESTER WEST 21

Chris Kotsifas scored four TDs and Charles Urda picked off four Blue Knight passes as the Spartans snapped a three-game skid, improving to 2-3.

Cade Cloutier two TDs, Trice Cote had a TD reception from Urda and

Colton Tewksbury also had an interception. Kotsifas and Eli Tekola also played well at linebacker.

It was 14-13 after one quarter but the Spartans scored three times in the second quarter to take control at the half, 34-14.

Milford assistant coach Rick Urda took over as the interim head coach in Jones’ absence. Jones, according to sources, is expected back next week.

This game was much different for Milford than the previous three losses.

“We were definitely more physical up front,” Urda said.

“The offensive and defensive lines did a much better job of controlling line of scrimmage. It showed.

“Defensively, we were like a deer in the head lights early, but after that we did a better job tackling. We wrapped people up.”

Milford hosts HB on Friday, hoping to reach .500.
