Kerouac, UNH ready for regional

Makenzie Kerouac and the UNH Wildcats will compete at the 2016 National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships Ann Arbor Regional on April 2 at 6 p.m.

UNH has advanced to an NCAA regional 33 of the last 35 years.

The six-team Ann Arbor Regional also consists of No. 6 Auburn, No. 7 Michigan, No. 18 Stanford, No. 24 Eastern Michigan and No. 25 Penn State. New Hampshire is ranked No. 33.

Downie, Larade helping DWC lax

Merrimack native David Downie tallied two goals and an assist, but the Daniel Webster College men’s lacrosse team suffered a 14-7 loss to Nichols on Tuesday.

Curtis Larade, also of Merrimack, turned away five shots during relief work at goalie.

Downie is second on the team with 18 goals in eight games this season. He also has seven assists, which is tied for second on the squad.

Larade has started six of eight games and holds a 3-2 record. He owns a 48.2 save percentage with a 12.43 goals-against average.

Daniel Webster College (4-4) returns to action on Saturday, hosting Wheelock in an NECC matchup at 3 p.m.
