Merrimack Youth Wrestling Parent Night

Merrimack Youth Wrestling is excited to announce that the Parent Information Night is right around the corner at the Merrimack Middle School on Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

The program is open to Merrimack boys and girls in grades K-8. This is a chance to meet the coaches and learn about the program before signing up. Bring your prospective wrestler dressed in shorts and a T-shirt. The kids will get a chance to get on the mats for some wrestling games. If they already have wrestling shoes, bring those along too. This is a fun night for the kids.

The program is designed to provide a wrestling knowledge base to young athletes. Each wrestler competes according to his/her weight, age, and experience level. We do not have weight categories and wrestlers do not have to "make weight". Our focus, as a program, will be: To provide a safe environment for each wrestler; to provide the best wrestling instruction possible in an environment conducive to learning; to highlight the importance of nutrition and exercise in wrestling and in general health; to enhance the self-confidence, self-esteem, and self-discipline in each wrestler.

Pre-register online today at www.myawrestling.com then join for one of two in-person registration sessions at the MYA Building to finalize the registration process. If neither of those dates work for you, email the director (Gary Krupp, director.myawrestling@gmail.com) so arrangements can be made to get your child registered for the season.

Registration dates are Saturday, Oct. 22 and Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
