Merrimack High squads look for tourney chances
With the fall regular seasons either closed or closing fast, here’s a look at where the Merrimack High teams stand.
The Tomahawk field hockey team closed its regular season nicely, winning seven of its last 10 to finish up at 8-6.
Merrimack will most likely again host an opening round playoff game when the playoffs begin on Tuesday.
At 7-6 with three to play, the Merrimack boys soccer team is right in the middle of the pack. The boys will be headed to the playoffs, needing a couple wins to open at home when the playoffs begin a week from Tuesday.
At 5-8 with three left, the Merrimack girls soccer team will need to get some work done to qualify.
One final item of note, the Merrimack High golf season came to a close on Tuesday at Stonebridge Country Club with the NHIAA Division I States.
Cameron Higham fired a 91, and Hayden Lawton shot a 96 as neither made the cut.
