Meet and greet author at Bedford Farmers Market

The Bedford Farmers Market has much to offer. On Tuesday, Aug. 16, meet author Philip Soletsky and have him autograph his newest work.

Soletsky, a decorated 14-year veteran of the Brookline Volunteer Fire Department, has published several short stories.

Soletsky’s works include the short "Sweet Stash" in "Live Free or Die, Die, Die," a New Hampshire-
themed mystery anthology from Plaidswede Publishing, as well as four books in a series of novels about a volunteer firefighter who becomes embroiled in mysteries. His most recent book is a crime thriller set in Los Angeles.

There is so much in season now: Corn-on-the-cob, beets, Swiss chard, cucumbers, green beans, cabbage, cauliflower, tomatoes, carrots and broccoli.

Add a baguette or beer bread from Rolling in the Dough or J.L. Sweets to complete your meal.

The farmers market runs from 3-6 p.m. in St. Elizabeth Seton Church parking lot every Tuesday, rain or shine, through Oct. 4. The church is located at 190 Meetinghouse Road in Bedford.
