Bedford Boy Scout Troop 5 to host yard sale

BEDFORD – Warmer weather is finally on the way. As we shed our winter coats and welcome the spring weather, many of us are clearing out some clutter around our homes.

Bedford Boy Scout Troop 5 is standing by to receive all those spring cleaning donations from basements and garages.

Donations for the Troop 5 yard sale may be dropped off at the Scout trailer located at the SAU district office parking lot at 103 County Road, Bedford. Donations are being accepted through Friday, May 11.

The yard sale will take place on Saturday, May 12 at McKelvie Intermediate School.

Acceptable items include: tools, housewares, small appliances, linens, books, toys, games, sporting goods, gently worn clothing and other miscellaneous items in good condition. We are unable to accept exercise equipment, TVs, computer monitors, mattresses/bedding, children’s car seats or broken items.

If you have bigger items, such as furniture, or cannot bring your donations to the SAU building, call Kathy at 471-6333 to arrange for a possible pick up. Items should be boxed and ready at the prearranged time.

The yard sale is the Scouts’ biggest fundraiser for the year and Troop 5 greatly appreciates your donations! For more information, visit www.troopwebhost.org/Troop5Bedford/Index.htm.
