Bedford High School seniors receive Josephine A. Fearon Scholarship

The Bedford Women’s Club is pleased to present the Josephine A. Fearon Scholarship to two high school seniors who are residents of Bedford. Educator and president of the Bedford Women’s Club in the mid-1940s, Josephine F. Lane Fearon established the Bedford Women’s Club Scholarship for high school seniors.

On June 14, Alice Quilty and Darlene Sargent of the Bedford Women’s Club presented Josephine A. Fearon Scholarships to Cerys Eldred and Karly Le Clerc, Bedford High School Class of 2018.

With an interest in pursuing a career in nursing, Eldred has shadowed healthcare professionals. An exemplary citizen, her transcript shows five times the required real world learning hours required by Bedford High School. Cerys Eldred is a caring and resourceful student. She plans to matriculate at UNH.

Le Clerc does not take her achievement lightly. With resolve and focus she has pushed herself in school and in crew. Karly Le Clerc will train for a career in the medical field at St. Michael’s College in Vermont.
