Eversource gifts $38K to United Way of Greater Nashua

NASHUA – United Way of Greater Nashua received a gift of $38,000 from Eversource Energy, as a “corporate gift” to United Way’s current workplace campaign.

“The United Way of Greater Nashua has been serving the neighborhoods where we work and live for decades, providing an important safety net for members of the community experiencing a wide variety of needs,” said Elizabeth LaRocca, community relations specialist with Eversource.

This gift is one of the largest single contributions received by United Way in recent years, said United Way President Mike Apfelberg.

“The support we receive from Eversource has a tremendous impact in our community. These funds support our complete network of nonprofit partners which, in our opinion, make up the heart and soul of Greater Nashua,” said Apfelberg. “I would like to add that Eversource goes a step further and also supports, through volunteerism and additional financial supports, our direct initiatives including our Community Baby Shower and our Shoebox Project for Seniors. As a company, they are clearly committed to leading by example.”
