Six McKelvie students qualified for the 2019 New Hampshire Alpine Racing Association Championships. Due to their placement at the Championships, both Ethan and Luke were invited to represent New Hampshire at a race for the top U12 alpine ski racers on the Eastern seaboard. Luke Purnell and Ethan Steichen at the race to which they were invited to represent New Hampshire; the Francis Piche Invitational. Athletes from as far away as Virginia and Western Pennsylvania train together for 3 days and then compete in Slalom and Giant Slalom. They both did excellent throughout the weekend placing near the top in multiple races.
