A program featuring “specialty mushrooms” will be presented at 6:30pm on Monday April 15 at a meeting of the Bedford Garden Club. Stephanie Doyle, of the New Hampshire Mushroom Company (https://www.nhmushrooms.com) located in Tamworth, NH, will explain the process the company uses to produce premium, organic, cultivated and foraged specialty mushrooms. Stephanie will give us an inside look at the daily life of a mushroom farmer. Whether you enjoy cooking and eating them, the science behind them, or their beauty, mushrooms are a fascinating subject! Stephanie will also touch on the subject of wild mushrooms and identify some edible species that we may find in our own wooded areas.

The Bedford Garden Club meeting will take place at the Bedford Public Library’s McAllaster Room, 3 Meetinghouse Road. At 6:00pm, the evening will begin with a Social; Stephanie Doyle’s presentation will begin at 6:30. A business meeting will follow at 7:45pm. Visitors and guests are welcome to attend the program.
