Jim Salsbury of Bedford, N.H., has been welcomed by the Merrimack Valley NH Chapter of SCORE as a member of the volunteer non-profit organization and a Certified Small Business Mentor.

SCORE, an arm of the U.S. Small Business Administration, is a national association with more than 10,000 volunteers. Its members provide no-cost business advice and counseling to existing small businesses and to those wishing to start new businesses.

Salsbury spent nearly 30 years as a hospital and health plan executive. He then spent the past 18 years as a senior lecturer in the Management Department of Bentley University in Waltham, MA teaching Operations Management, the Management of Quality, and Integrated Business Planning. In his time at Bentley, Salsbury served for 10 years as Director of Assurance of Learning and 8 years as Assistant Chair of the Management Department. Salsbury retired from Bentley in 2018 and is now a professor emeritus at Bentley University.

The Merrimack Valley NH Chapter of SCORE (merrimackvalley.score.org), which covers Nashua, Manchester, Concord, Keene and the surrounding areas, has approximately 55 current and former business executives available to provide free, confidential, one-on-one business counseling and training workshops for area start-ups and existing businesses.
