Lyndeborough plans Memorial Day services

LYNDEBOROUGH – The Lafayette Artillery Company will hold Memorial Day services on Sunday, May 28.

Here is the schedule:

• 9:30 a.m.: Center Church services.

• 10:45: Procession to Center Cemetery for prayers and rifle salute.

• 11:15: South Cemetery for prayers and a rifle salute.

• 1 p.m.: A parade will form at Central School; prayers and a rifle salute at the war memorials on the common; band concert and guest speakers. The Artillery Company will

fire its 1844 cannon three times.

At the J.A. Tarbell Library:

• 9 a.m.-1 p.m.: Book and bake sale sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Proceeds will benefit the library addition fund. Donations of books and baked goods are always appreciated.

• The Artillery will also take part in Wilton’s Memorial Day services beginning with a parade at 9 a.m.
