Alene Candles donates more than $40,000 to Mayfield, Kentucky, tornado victims

Alene Candles employees and owners donated $40,775 in support of Mayfield Consumer Products candle factory employees and their families who were impacted by the devastating tornado on Dec. 10.

MILFORD – Alene Candles, one of the nation’s leading full-service contract and private-label home fragrance manufacturers, has donated $40,775 in support of Mayfield Consumer Products (MCP) candle factory employees and their families who were impacted by the devastating tornado on Dec. 10, 2021. Alene’s employees donated nearly $8,000 to the victim relief fund. The company matched the donations made by its New Albany, Ohio, and Milford, New Hampshire, employees and its owners made a $25,000 contribution as well.

All donations were made through the donation page setup by MCP owners at www.mcpkentucky.com, where 100% of donations are given to victim relief.

“We are so proud of our employees for coming together in the aftermath of this unspeakable tragedy and providing support to their fellow candlemakers,” said Rod Harl, owner, president and CEO of Alene Candles. “Our company remains committed to providing support to the victims and families at Mayfield Consumer Products where we are able.”

Alene currently has just under 500 full-time employees at its facilities. This number grows to nearly 1,500 during the holiday season with the addition of seasonal staff.

Mayfield has a population of 10,000 residents.
