Coffee and conversations

WILTON – Coffee and Conversation. Tuesday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Second Congregational Church Parish House. Stop in, grab a cup, and chat with friends, both old and new, about almost anything. There is no agenda.

On February 1, a handful of people did just that, sitting around a table and discussing a wide variety of topics, from local events, including the upcoming town elections, a little history of Main Street, news of friends, and, of course, the weather.

National politics were almost ignored. No controversy here, just friendly chatter.

The party was hosted by Sandy Lafleur, coordinator of Wilton Collaborative Space, which sponsors the gathering.

Most present agreed with DJ Garcia that one thing the town needs is more community involvement and closer cooperation with the schools. More people should run for office, they said, volunteer for Main Street projects, attend events, and come to Coffee and Conversation.

The event is free and open to all.
