Granite United Way announces promotion

STATE – Granite United Way proudly announces that Scoop Welch has been promoted to vice president of regional operations.

In her new role, Welch will oversee area directors and area managers throughout Granite United Way and be the lead in the central region. She will also work closely with volunteers and partners throughout regions to strengthen Granite United Way’s local efforts. Welch has been with the organization since 2009, and she has a long history of building strong and effective relationships with supporters and key stakeholders.

Welch has held several key leadership roles with Granite United Way, most recently serving as the area director for the central region. She has previously led fundraising efforts as a director of resource development for the Merrimack County, North Country and central region areas.

“Scoop has proven herself as an extremely valuable member of the Granite United Way team. Her leadership skills and genuine dedication to our community will elevate our efforts to help individuals learn, earn and be healthy,” said Patrick Tufts, president and CEO of Granite United Way. “Scoop’s ability to convene volunteers, supporters and community partners will continue to build stronger communities across all of our regions.”

Welch holds a Bachelor of Science in family studies from the University of New Hampshire. She resides in Sandwich with her daughter.
