HOLLIS – Maximus Noke, 18, of Hollis, was taken into custody on Aug. 11 following an alleged physical altercation involving two minors whom Noke attacked while they were riding their bikes.

According to the Hollis Police Department, officers responded to the disturbance on Depot Road near Monument Square. Upon arrival at 4:30 p.m., they found Noke fighting with two minors. Noke then retreated into a home where he reportedly attacked a woman whom he knew. Police also noticed that Noke had severe lacerations on his arms and was suffering from blood loss.

Noke allegedly refused to come out of the home and threatened the officers several times. He then attempted to flee out the back door when he was placed under arrest.

Noke has been charged with domestic violence simple assault, two counts of simple assault, criminal mischief, resisting arrest or detention and disorderly conduct.

An arraignment date has not been set as Noke remains in the hospital.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to six years in prison and up to $12,000 in fines.
