Northwood woman arrested in Hollis on drug charges
HOLLIS – Shirley Parenteau, 42, of Northwood, was taken into custody on Aug. 4 for alleged drug possession.
According to the Hollis Police Department, at approximately 11 p.m., Officer Kyle Connors saw a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of Silver Lake State Park.
After approaching the vehicle and speaking with Parenteau, Connors reportedly discovered that she had an outstanding warrant from the Windham Police Department. He also reportedly found a bag containing a controlled substance in Parenteau’s vehicle.
Upon arriving at the police station, Connors noticed that Parenteau was walking abnormally, as if she was trying to hide something. As a result, she was searched and a bag of methamphetamine was reportedly found under her clothes.
Parenteau has been charged with two counts of possession of controlled drugs, subsequent offense.
Under state law, if convicted, Parenteau could face up to 30 years in prison, up to 10 years of probation and up to $8,000 in fines.
