Mum sales benefit HB field hockey team

The Hollis Brookline High School Field Hockey team is once again selling fall mums. They are gorgeous, half-bushel size, locally grown flowers approximately 30 inches in diameter, planted in wooden fruit basket Each one is $22.

This year’s field hockey team includes more than 38 hardworking athletes. In addition to their regular season play, the team also runs free clinics at the elementary schools in both Hollis and Brookline to introduce the sport to future players. The team also hosts a summer field hockey camp for children in grades first through eighth. All proceeds from the mum sale go directly to the team and will be used to offset the cost of the growth and development of the program.

The final order date is Monday, Sept. 10 and flowers will need to be picked up from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept.ember 12, in front of the high school. Players will be on hand to help you load your car if needed.
