In keeping with the Hollis Woman’s Club’s mission of community improvement through educational programs as well as philanthropic donations, civic support, and social activities, the Director of Programming procures informative monthly speakers and programs. All programs are open to the public. The club welcomed our most recent guest speaker, Lois Herman, a Success Coach and Certified Hypnotist. Lois has extensive training in advanced hypnosis techniques, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and is a Reiki Master-Teacher. As a former Fortune 500 Corporate Trainer, Lois’ skills apply to both professional and personal applications.

Her topic Developing Incredible Confidence addressed ways to engage in life to increase more meaningful and positive outcomes. Lois shared simple thoughts, actions, exercises, and visualizations which help overcome social awkwardness or anxiety, improve motivation for projects, promote self-assurance, actuate personal life or health goals, and more. Hollis Woman’s Club members walked away inspired to tackle new tasks, follow through with goals, and an overall “feel good” attitude.

Previous HWC guest speakers include New York Times bestselling NH author Stephanie Sheehan, UNH Professor Carmon Wake who shared his regional climate change research, and the Northeast Resource Recovery Association which supports recycling efforts throughout New England.
