Kick-A-Thon to Raise Funds Benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

On Saturday, June 8th, Neil Stone’s Karate Academy located at 22 Proctor Hill Rd., in Hollis, NH will team up with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® in the fight against childhood cancer. The Kick-A-Thon is an event to give student’s and their families the opportunity to help support the lifesaving mission of one of the world’s premier pediatric cancer research centers. The event will be from 9am-noon.

The students will “kick for a cause” on the day of the event with classmates and family around to cheer them on!. Neil Stone, the school owner, and Deb LaFrance, the school’s Program Director will also be riding stationary bikes at the event for the length of the kickathon to raise awareness for the cause. The public is invited to sample the many delicious desserts that will be available at the bake sale and there will be many raffle items available that have been donated by local businesses! Community volunteers and corporate sponsorships are also welcome.

“We are excited to help raise awareness and funds to support the mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which is to find cures and save children,” said Deb LaFrance, event coordinator. “The Kick-A-Thon will truly make a difference in helping the children of St. Jude fight cancer and other deadly diseases.”

Since opening in 1962, St. Jude has treated children from all 50 states and around the world. No child is ever denied treatment because of a family’s inability to pay. With a daily operating cost of $1 billion, St. Jude depends mostly on public contributions and fundraising events, like Kickathons.
