Nashua Public Library Summer Concerts
On Thursday nights starting June 27, grab a blanket or lawn chair, pack a picnic basket, and head over to the Nashua Public Library for Summer Concerts on the Plaza.
The series opens with the return of the Veronica Robles Mariachi Band.
Known as La Mera, Mera (The Real One) to her fans, Veronica Robles has Mexican music in her blood, having learned corridos, rancheras, and huapangos at her grandmother’s knee. At age 15 she began a musical career that over the years has included performances at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, the JFK Presidential Library and Museum, and Berklee Performance Center.
Future concerts in the library’s outdoor series include:
July 11: Marc Berger Band, rock/roots
July 18: Compaq Big Band, swing/jazz
July 25: Sweet Wednesday, folk/rock
August 1: Women in World Jazz
The series is sponsored by the Friends of the Nashua Public Library and the Bloomfield Trust.
