The Order of AHEPA, District #9 is pleased to announce that this year’s 2019 Pericles Award recipient is Dr. John Dagianis of Hollis, NH.

The Order of AHEPA offers this award annually to an individual who promotes the ideals of Hellenism by providing philanthropy and civic responsibility through humanitarian services.

Dr. Dagianis has provided free ophthalmologic services to people in need throughout the world. He has taken his staff and local volunteers on medical missions to places such as Bulgaria, Central America, Romania and St. Vincent in the Virgin Islands.

He is joined by other doctors from throughout the United States in offering eye exams and cataract surgery to those who have never had an examination. He has brought sight to many hundreds if not thousands of people.

These mercy missions to these countries are limited by time but when he arrives, the lines have already formed to be seen by “Dr. John.”

In honoring Dr. Dagianis, the Order of AHEPA, District #9 and the Nashua host Chapter #35 will be providing a testimonial to Dr. Dagianis for his spirit, his humanitarian work and his humble heart.

This event will be held at the Nashua Country Club on Sunday, November 10.
