United Way of Greater Nashua planning “Stuff the Bus” event for August

On August 1, from 9 am to 2 pm, United Way volunteers will be on hand at Staples in Nashua, Staples in Amherst, Big Lots in Nashua, and Sam’s Club in Hudson accepting donations of school supplies. Additionally, United Way volunteers will be on hand 11 am to 7 pm every day from 8/1 through 8/7 at the Target Store location at the Pheasant Lane Mall.

At each of these locations, First Student Nashua will have a “Big Yellow School Bus” on hand to accept the collected donations. Top needed items this year include everything from pencils, crayons, and markers, to glue sticks, notebooks, and backpacks. The goal of United Way’s “Stuff the Bus” event is to collect enough supplies to support the important back to school programs of the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter, Nashua Goes Back to School, Milford SHARE Outreach, as well as providing direct support to the many school districts within the Greater Nashua region.

Stuff the bus is organized by United Way, staffed by United Way volunteers, and supported by First Student as well as AmeriHealth Caritas New Hampshire and Mr. Macs Mac ‘n Cheese.
