Superbowl Breakfast

The Richard K. Harvell Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8401 invites everyone to join us for breakfast and celebrate Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3 from 8 to 11a.m. at the Bedford Old Town Hall. Once again our enthusiastic kitchen staff will create a breakfast to remember for this auspicious day, including french toast, sausage, donuts, orange juice, coffee, tea, and/or milk.

The recommended donation of $7.00 for adults $4.00 funds our annual George T. Wiggin scholarship program. Last year the Post awarded over $14,000 in scholarships to college students here in Bedford. The VFW also provides patriotic education in the schools, and we recently honored our Post’s Law Enforcement Officer of the Year, Teacher of the Year, our Voice of Democracy and Patriot Pen National VFW essay contest winners and local Eagle Scouts.

The VFW welcomes all who meet our eligibility criteria. If you have received a campaign medal for overseas service; have served 30 consecutive or 60 non-consecutive days in Korea; or have ever received hostile fire or imminent danger pay, then you’re eligible to join our ranks. DD214 or equivalent proof of eligibility required. Monthly meetings are the second Monday of the month at 730 PM at the Old Town Hall.
