Merrimack’s Sophia Hancock cast as Snow Queen in the Palace Theatre’s ‘The Nutcracker’

Sixteen-year old Sophia Hancock, 13-year old Saorla Gunther, Alicia Stevens and Trey Nichols all of Merrimack will perform in the Palace Theatre’s upcoming annual production of the timeless classic, “The Nutcracker,” in six magical performances Nov. 29 through Dec. 1.

Hancock a 16 year old attending The Founders Academy has been dancing since she was 3, has been cast in the coveted role of Snow Queen in the upcoming performance of “The Nutcracker.”

She also will perform the roles of Dew Drop Fairy, Mirliton Soloist, a Snowflake in Snow Scene and a Flower in the Waltz of Flowers.

“Dancing in “The Nutcracker” is one thing I look forward to every year. I’m so grateful to be a part of an amazing production,” Hancock said.

She will be joined on stage by Gunther, who will perform the roles of Elf, Arabian Dancer and a Flower in Waltz of Flowers.

Eight-year old Stevens will perform as reindeer along with Trey Nichols performing as a Party Boy.
