Elizabeth A. “Betty” Quinn, 81, longtime resident of Milford, NH died on March 13, 2020 at Ledgewood Bay, Milford.

She was born in Nashua, NH on September 21, 1938, a daughter of Lawrence and Ruth (Burns) Tighe. Betty was raised and educated in Wilton, NH and graduated from Wilton High School, Class of 1956.

In her early years she was employed as a telephone operator for Wilton Telephone Company. She later went to work for Aubuchon Hardware in Milford and Bedford and retired from the former Norton Company / Saint – Gobain in Milford, NH.

Betty loved being outside, working in her yard and watching sports. She also enjoyed helping her siblings, pet sitting, babysitting her grandchildren and most especially spending time with family.

She was a longtime communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Wilton.

Betty was predeceased by her husband, James P. Quinn, Jr., who died in 2004.

Family members include her daughter and son-in-law, Kerry and Scott Hamel of Mason, NH; her son, James Quinn III and his longtime companion, Audrey Ross of Goffstown, NH; her former daughter-in-law, Donna Quinn of Alexandria, NH; four grandchildren, Jake Quinn, Nick Quinn, Ryan Quinn and Adam Hamel; two sisters-in-law, Brenda Tighe of Wilton, NH and Ann Bergeron of Nashua, NH; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are on Wednesday, March 18th from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Smith & Heald Funeral Home, 63 Elm Street, Milford, NH. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 am in the funeral home.
