Wanda A. Corkum

Surrounded by 4 generations of her family, Wanda A. Corkum, 89, of Merrimack, NH and formerly of Stoneham, MA passed away on Friday, Oct. 30, 2015 at Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA after a brief illness.

Born in Cambridge, MA on July 27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Ernes) Bagrowski. She is the widow of Harvey S. Corkum who died in 1993.

Prior to her retirement she worked at J.L. Hammett Co. as a bookkeeper and later worked for Lawrence General Hospital in Medford, and Star Market in Malden. Wanda enjoyed family gatherings, had a creative flair for decorating and always maintained a stylish wardrobe.

She is pre-deceased by four brothers, Steve, Henry, Joe and Michael Bagrowski and two sisters Helen Malone and Olga Wood.

Wanda is survived by a son, William Corkum and his wife Linda of Windham, NH; three daughters, Marilyn Fall of Merrimack, NH, Christine Trigilio and her husband, George of Peabody, MA and Patti Wesolowski and her husband, Paul of Acton, MA; nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A wake was held on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015 from 5-8 PM at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack. Friends and family were invited to attend a memorial service officiated by Deacon John Martin at the funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 5 at 10 AM. Burial followed in Last Rest Cemetery.
