Nancy Mercier

Nancy Mercier, 52, of Merrimack passed away peacefully surrounded by her close family on Tuesday, July 5, 2022.

She was born in Lac-Megantic, Quebec, Canada, on Aug. 5, 1969, to Gaston and Suzanne Mercier.

Nancy graduated from Merrimack High School in 1987. After graduating, she attended Burdett Business School in Boston, where she earned her associate’s degree. She proudly worked as the president of her family business for 20 years. For the last 10 years, Nancy was employed as an instrument coordinator at Werfen, in Bedford Massachusetts, where she was able to utilize her first language, French-Canadian.

As a child, she enjoyed taking trips to Canada, snowmobiling with her family, summers at the beach with friends and making memories at her parents’ lake house in Maine. As she grew up, Nancy developed a passion for fitness. She kicked boxed four days a week for the last 25 years.

Nancy always said she was put on this Earth to be a mother; her children were her life. She would light up at any opportunity to share stories, achievements and memories of her son, daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter.

Nancy was known for her gentle, caring, patient, and loving personality. Her smile radiated positivity, and her calm, welcoming presence allowed for amazing friendships to become into her life. She had a tribe of best friends that brought out the best in her. Nancy’s happiest times were spent together with her children, granddaughter, family and friends.

Nancy will truly be missed by her entire family and all who had the opportunity to know and love her.

She was a loving mother and mémé to her children, Tyler, Sara, Jacob – and granddaughter – Stella.

Surviving members of her family include her two loving children, Tyler DiMartino and Sara Boylan; son-in-law, Jacob Boylan; granddaughter, Stella Boylan; and her parents, Gaston and Suzanne Mercier; siblings, Sylvie McFarland; and brother-in-law; Ken McFarland, Jean Mercier and his wife, Cori Mercier; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours were held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Friday July 8, 2022, from 5 – 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 16 Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 9 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
