Theodore E. Trask

Theodore E. Trask, 74 surrounded by his loving family, died Thursday at The Elms of Milford after a long illness.

Ted was born June 14, 1941 in Hartford CT. Ted is the son of the late Arthur and Lucille Trask of Mechanics Falls, ME. He grew up in Poland ME.

Mr. Trask proudly served in the U.S. Army including a tour in Germany. He went on to become a law enforcement officer, where he served many communities in Maine and NH and retired as a Patrol Sargent on the Merrimack Police department where he specialized in accident investigation. Following his retirement, he also served his community as a Deputy Sheriff with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

Ted enjoyed working on cars and was a Mustang enthusiast. He and Carole enjoyed camping and were members of the Escapees club. During their retirement, they traveled around the country meeting people and made many friends.

He is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Carole A. Trask with whom he shared 55 years of marriage. Surviving members of his family include his son Theodore Trask and wife Karen of Merrimack NH, his son Stephen Trask and wife Susan of Portsmouth NH. He is also survived by his brother Robert Harper and his wife Anne, his Sister Pauline Berube. Other family members include his loving grandchildren Timothy Trask and his wife Jessica, Stephanie Morris and her fiance, Aaron McCleod, Christopher Olivares and Isabella Trask. Two great-grandchildren Mason and Lucas Trask and many loving nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brother Bernard Trask.

Calling hours were held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Monday, January 11 from 5 – 8 PM. A funeral service was held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday January 12 at 11 AM. A private internment service will be held in the spring.
