David Arthur Soucy, 57, of Merrimack, NH, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA, after a brief illness. He was born in Nashua, son of the late Ida and Roland Soucy.

David worked as a roofer at Leclair Roofing and Weatherproofing Inc. for many years and in his free time he enjoyed deep sea, ice, and freshwater fishing; hunting; riding his BMW motorcycle; music, especially the Grateful Dead, with whom he toured; spending time on his boat in Hampton, NH; and he was an advocate of medicinal marijuana.

David is survived and will be deeply missed by a brother, Dennis Soucy, and his wife, Maria, of Fort Myers FL; a sister, Ella Soucy, of Milford, NH; a niece, Lisa Count; a few aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.

Relatives and friends were kindly invited to attend calling hours for David on Friday, May 6th, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, in Merrimack NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in David’s honor may be made to the American Cancer Society.
