Equal time offered to experts on both sides at Common Core forum March 29 at Lawrence Barn in Hollis

To the Editor:

A big thank you to Josey MacMillan for her letter to editor highlighting need to investigate Common Core state standards and hear differing views on the subject.

There are many questions that still need to be asked and answered about this very controversial topic and people need to hear both sides.

Good news: There is a free Common Core state standards forum coming up right here in Hollis, featuring credentialed education experts. This is the only forum of its kind. Equal time has been offered to speakers who are on both sides of the issue.

There will be lots of time for questions and answers.

This is being put on by parents and local residents not by an political or activist group.

The Common Core state standards forum featuring local, state and national education experts will be held on Saturday, March 29, from 4-6:30 p.m. at the Lawrence Barn Community Center, 28 Depot Road Hollis. It is free to public.

Light refreshments will be served. For more info, email stuffmailjewels@icloud.com.
