To the Editor:

On behalf of Brookline Recreation, we would like to thank all who helped make this year’s fishing derby a success.

This includes Jerry Farwell for clearing the parking lot and beach front, allowing safe access to and from the lake. Bingham Lumber and Paul from N.H. Rocks for supplying and delivering wood for the fire. Rick from “The Ice Hole” for his generous donation of ice fishing supplies that were given to all the kids who registered.

The weather was great, and the turnout was good, as well. Rescheduling the event turned out to be the right move.

Thanks again for all who participated and helped out.
