To the Editor:

As the saying goes, "It takes a village…" It has certainly taken an extraordinary community to help our family through diagnosis and treatment for leukemia.

We cannot thank the entire southern New Hampshire area for its generosity and kindness since Chris’ initial diagnosis in June. To each of you who attended the various benefits in our honor, thank you! Whether it was your attendance at Hampshire Hills’ Family Fun Day, golfing in Amherst Country Club’s tournament, running in Fleet Feet’s 5K, contributing to our GoFundMe account, dropping off meals at our house or sending words of encouragement, we cannot thank each of you enough.

We are so humbled at complete strangers’ selflessness. We are so lucky to live and work in such kind communities.

Thank you, southern New Hampshire "village."
