Town of Brookline to hold holiday event

Dear Fellow Brookliners:

I hope that this past year has been a happy and healthy one for you, and that it continues through 2016, which is approaching rather quickly.

The Brookline Tree Lighting is scheduled again for Sunday, Dec. 6, at 4:30 p.m. Donations for the lighting are appreciated. If you own a business , we’d love to share your generosity with a gracious voice of thanks.

As well as, if you have a loved one who you would like mentioned on this heartwarming day in our small town, we would be honored to remember them and ask others to do the same.

Donations can be sent or brought to TD Bank, 104 Route 13, Brookline NH 03033.

Please write the check out to Brookline Tree Lighting.

Our local troops of Girl Scouts and Brownies will lead us in Christmas carols, and Santa will be arriving on the fire truck with whistles roaring, anxious to hear all our children’s gift wishes.

The Friends of the Library will be in the Town Hall meeting room selling homemade yummy treats and warm beverages. Swing in, grab a treat, say hello and get warm!

The Brookline Band will be performing their favorite Christmas carols on the front steps of Town Hall prior to the lighting.

The Brookline Community Church will be having its fourth annual fair at the church from 11 a.m-8 p.m., serving its annual chili-soup for takeout after the lighting. Lots of raffles, so get your tickets early.

I hope you are able to make it to this genuine holiday spirited day. Wishing you and yours a happy and healthy Christmas and holiday time.
