Brown seeks votes for office

To the Editor:

My name is Elizabeth Brown, and I ask for your support as a candidate for the Hollis Board of Selectmen.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1996, and have spent my entire legal career practicing law in Delaware. Since 2003, I have worked for a general practice firm where I represent small and medium size business clients in all types and aspects of business transactions and commercial and corporate litigation. I believe my legal and business experience will be beneficial as a member of the Board of Selectmen.

In 2010, our family – which includes three boys, Joseph (16), Aaron (14) and Levi (6), and daughter Rachel (10) – had the opportunity to move from Delaware to New England. We searched for a town like Hollis to relocate our family where the kids could grow up in a rural atmosphere with a strong sense of community and top-ranking schools. While living in Hollis, I have continued to telecommute and work part time.

I have been a member of the Hollis Brookline Co-op School Board since 2014. My legal background and perspective has allowed me to be influential in helping to resolve complex issues within the School Board. I also have also served the community as a PTA volunteer, a member of the Brookline Hollis Youth Soccer League board and served on the Gourmet Auction Committee for the Front Door Agency.
