Americans Could Love Trump

I was crossing the Hudson to Nashua bridge in December and spotted a man asking for money. I thought to myself, I can help him. I pulled a $10 bill out of my wallet to give him. He walked to my car with great effort on his part. He looked me right in the eye and say “May God bless you.” I knew that $10 made him think, I have self – worth, if only for a moment. The minimum wage in New Hampshire is $7.25 an hour. I checked on Mississippi, the poorest state in the nation and it was the same there — $7.25 an hour. This is the federally mandated lowest minimum wage possible. Massachusetts recently changed the minimum wage to $12 an hour from $10 an hour, the same as the state of California. Sunnyvale, a town in California, has a $15 an hour minimum wage adjusted annually by the consumer price index. They are thinking of freezing at $15 an hour at this time. This is where I’d like to see all minimum wages. Finally, low wage earners can have a positive impact on the economy. If I made $7.25 an hour, I would find it degrading. It would take 2.5 hours of labor to get a hamburger plus tax at the old Crowne Plaza in Nashua with no tip and no soda to drink with it. My self-worth would hardly exist. It would make it difficult to love myself, and if you don’t love yourself, it’s very difficult to love friends and family. I’m sure President Trump would criticize me for leaving out french fries that I would get. Wouldn’t it be amazing if President Donald Trump woke up some morning and said ” I’m going to help those people on the bottom of the economic ladder”? Trump says he wants to make America great again. A strong push from him to help the poor middle -class Americans would be the first step towards giving Americans a new sense of purpose. You might say that I’ve got some nerve writing to over 225 daily newspapers. The truth is that I have protection and it’s not a condom!
