Does Merrimack chamber have double standard?
To the Editor:
Merrimack citizens requested to meet with the Chamber of Commerce to share information and concerns regarding the proposed Kinder Morgan NED pipeline and how it could adversely affect the town and residents of Merrimack.
Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Deb Courtemanche told us “no” because the chamber doesn’t involve themselves in “political” matters.
However, Kinder Morgan was allowed to join the Chamber AND sponsor their annual award/fundraising event on March 12 AND present the business of the year award at the event.
Ms. Courtemanche, could you please explain your actions to the residents of Merrimack?
