To the Editor:

Dear Lioness Club, I really don’t know how to thank you for the wonderful Christmas we had because of you. Our family is one of many who are working hard, trying our best, but still needing a helping hand at special times like the holidays.

The medications and special activities required by our children make everyday needs a challenge. So Christmas often takes a back seat and the fun of extras just doesn’t happen.

Everyone was thrilled with the warm cozy pajamas and slippers. They kept us nice and toasty with our heat turned way down. I don’t think we’ve taken them off since Christmas morning. The books were perfect choices and they made for great vacation reading time. I loved watching the kids curled up on a chair or the couch with one of the new books.

I was especially grateful for the wonderful winter jacket for my son. He’s growing so quickly and last year’s jacket that he was wearing was worn out and small. When he opened it his face lit up and he yelled out “Yes!”

Thank you so much for all of your generous help, and also for all you do for our community all year. Our Christmas and start to the New Year were so much brighter because of all of you! Blessings for a wonderful 2015.
