Support Lon Woods for Merrimack Town Council
To the Editor:
When we first moved to Merrimack some forty years ago, Lon Woods was one of the first community activists that we met. Since that time I am proud to say that I consider him both a colleague and a friend.
Lon Woods has served our town in a number of ways over the past forty-five years: municipal budget committee, school board member, zoning board of adjustment, charter commission, Merrimack Village District, and now the Town Council. I was pleased when the Town Council appointed him to fill a vacancy last year. This year I encouraged him to seek election to a full three year term. We need to have his common sense and non confrontational approach to solving Merrimack’s problems. His forty-five years of residence and community involvement in Merrimack provides an institutional memory that is needed.
Please join me in voting to elect Lon Woods to a three year term on the Merrimack Town Council on Tuesday, April 14th.
