Merrimack Easter Egg Hunt becomes exciting springtime ‘eggstravaganza’

To the Editor:

The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department would like to thank the over 300 children who came out to join us for the 23rd annual Easter Egg Hunt at Wasserman Park despite the three-week delay because of the unending snow we received this winter.

It was a beautiful spring afternoon with the sun shinning down on all of the colorful Easter eggs, waiting for excited children to find them.

The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department would like to send our sincere thanks to Merrimack Friends & Family and their volunteers for co-hosting this wonderful event with us. A big thank you to our special guest, the Easter Bunny, for coming out and spending the day visiting with many excited children!

We would like to thank Merrimack Girl Scout Troop 10151 for volunteering their time handing out maps and directing families to each field, and bringing their enthusiasm and creativity to help run games for the kids while they were waiting for the hunt to begin.

Lastly, we would like to thank the Merrimack police volunteers for directing traffic and keeping our visitors safe.
