Police announce comedy show date

To the Editor:

On behalf of the NEPBA Local 12 and the Merrimack Police Department, I am pleased to announce that the donor appreciation comedy show has been rescheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016 at the Alpine Grove in Hollis.

During the course of our investigation into the canceled show, the NEPBA Local 12 learned that there have been numerous agencies/organizations throughout New England that have had troubling experiences with the East Coast Marketing Group. As a result of their unprofessionalism, the Merrimack Police Department’s NEPBA Local 12 is terminating their relationship with ECMG and is now considering legal actions against them as well.

Please disregard any advertisements reference the comedy show being on Jan. 16, 2016. This was a date that was selected by the East Coast Marketing Group, and we do not believe they took any substantial steps toward actually ensuring a show would go on.

We are going to do everything thing we can to ensure that each and every donor/supporter is notified of the new date in hopes that they will be able to join us. However, we would also ask for you to share this new information with anyone who you know may have had plans to attend our first show. Original tickets will be honored at the door. If you do not have your original tickets, the honor system will also be in effect.

In closing, we hope each and every one of our donors/supporters will be able to join us for a night of laughs starting at 8 p.m. Feb. 20, 2016 (doors will open at 7 p.m).
