To the Editor:

Merrimack Friends and Families gives to our community in so many ways. Our Service programs are scheduled throughout the year and our members volunteer their time to support our projects. Last year our membership logged over 380 hours of volunteer service time.

The first service project of our 2017-18 club year was to work with the Merrimack Town Welfare Department, providing school supplies for 16 children in need. For the 15th year, our members collected and donated the backpacks and all the school supplies for the backpacks, and then got together as a group and assembled the bags for each child.

The next service project is our bi-annual adopt-a-road clean up.
