Another view on farm animals
To the Editor:
I would like to offer another view on a recent letter published in the journal regarding the treatment of farm animals raised for food. In the letter, it stated that animals are abused and mistreated for our consumption. While there are exceptions, this is not the rule. Farmers take excellent care of their animals. There are videos online that are taken wildly out of context, and I would encourage your readers to reach out to farmers directly and ask questions. Many of them use social media, and it’s a great way to follow along and learn about industry practices.
