The Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department would like to thank all the groups and individuals that attended the 24th annual Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony on Sunday, Dec. 3.

The parade kicked off at 3 p.m. from Commons Shopping Plaza. This year’s parade theme was “A Whoville Christmas” and we saw lots of great parade floats and decorations! We would like to thank the following groups for participating in the parade.

Directly after the Parade the Tree Lighting Ceremony was held at Abbie Griffin Park. We would like to thank the following groups for participating in the Tree Lighting Ceremony.

• Girl Scouts Troop 10762 provided hot chocolate

The event had a great turnout with about 600 people attending. Thank you again to all the families and individuals that joined us for this event. We want to wish you all a Happy Holiday Season from the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department!
