Will Zimmerman broke the boys’ age 15-19 100-yard butterfly record with a time of 58.16 seconds. The previous record had been set by Lucas Pozzetta, with a time of 58.98 on July 15, 2008.

Jenna Charlat broke the Age 11-12 200-freestyle record at the final meet of the season on July 26 with a time of 2:09.69, which was previously held by Jessica Sweeney with a time of 2:10.03. The previous record was set on Aug. 1, 2002.

Also, the team finished in second place in the Division 1 GSSA State Championships on Sunday after a full weekend of swimming. This is a big achievement, considering Bedford Barracudas are a Summer Swim Team. The winning team was Exeter who swim yearround.

The Barracudas also won meets against Jasper Valley, Hampshire Hills and Concord during the month of July.
