Girls lacrosse moves on to semifinals vs. Pinkerton

The top-seeded Bedford girls lacrosse team moved on to the Division I semifinals on Wednesday with a 21-9 victory over eighth-seeded Concord.

Bedford will face off against defending champion and fifth-seeded Pinkerton – a 7-6 winner over Londonderry – on Saturday at Exeter starting at 7 p.m. The winner will face either Souhegan or Bishop Guertin for the title on Wednesday at SNHU.

Softball edges Concord to reach D-I quarterfinals

The ninth-seeded Bedford softball team defeated eighth-seeded Concord 10-9 on Wednesday in the first round of the Division I softball tournament at Concord.

The Bulldogs (11-8) will have their hands full in the quarterfinal round at top-seeded Londonderry, which received a first-round bye, on Saturday at 4 p.m. Bedford showed it can compete, though, during a 6-5 loss to the Lancers (18-1) on May 12.
