Bulldogs enjoy success at states

The Bedford boys track team had a huge Sunday at Dartmouth College, taking third overall in the Division I State Meet with 66 points.

The Bulldogs picked up a pair of individual wins.

Junior Aidan Kenny dominated the 600 meters, winning by nearly two seconds with a 1:23.36 clocking.

His classmate, Lucien Mumpini, soared to victory in the long jump with a leap of 20-11.75.

From there, it was just a matter of the Bulldogs piling up the points and the placings.

Adam Knowles, Zach Verow and Joseph Aiello went 2-3-4 in the dash. Verow came back to earn third in the 300, clocking in at 36.32.

Donny Crowder cleared 5-10 for third in the high jump.

Thomas Norfleet was third in the shot at 46-2.75, while Ben Lacombe took fifth at 43-6.5.

On the girls side, Bedford was fifth with 38 points.

Brianna Coco took third in the 300 at 43.60. The junior added a surprising fourth in the hurdles at 9.36. Senior Olivia Coco was sixth in the 600 at 1:43.22.

Carly Rinko was sixth in the 1000 at 3:11.74. Victoria Thibeault was fifth in the shotput with a 30-1.75 heave.
