BOYS VOLLEYBALL

Hollis Brookline 3,Goffstown 1

Brett Belden and Nick Wood had 15 and 14 kills and a pair of aces to their credit as Hollis Brookline beat Goffstown 25-20, 18-25, 28-26, 25-11 on Thursday, April 14.

Nate Thomas came up big defensively with 29 digs for the Cavaliers.

Hollis Brookline 3, John Stark 1

The Cavs improved to 3-1 on Monday with set scores of 25-17, 9-25, 25-17, 25-15. Zac Crooks had nine kills and four aces while Tuker McIlwrath added eight kills and 11 blocks and Nate Thomas 17 digs. HB visits Salem on Wednesday.

GIRLS TENNIS

Hollis Brookline 7, Windham 2

Courtney Koran, Nicole Hall, Maddy McCann, Teresa Randlett and Monika Scheider all won singles matches to lead Hollis Brookline to a 7-2 win over Windham on Thursday, April 14.

Koran and Hall paired up to win first doubles, while McCann and Scheider won at second doubles.

Hollis Brookline 9, Pembroke 0

The Cavaliers rolled, losing just two games the entire match on Monday. Singles (all 8-0) wins were by Courtney Koran, Nicole Hall, Maddy McCann, Teresa Randlett, Sophia Bruzkik while Monika Schneider won 8-1. Hall/Koran (8-1), Randlett/McCann (8-0) and Bruzik/Schneider (8-0) all cruised in doubles.

BASEBALL

ConVal 7, Hollis Brookline 6

ConVal scored a walkoff victory on an errant throw in the bottom of the seventh inning against Hollis Brookline. The Cavaliers used three pitchers – Kobe Popham (three innings), Joe Brown (two innings) and Kaito Kramarcyk (two innings), who was tagged with the loss. Tyler MacDormand led HB’s offense with two hits and three RBIs.

Nate Corsetti went three innings of one- hit ball to get the win while Kaito Kramarczyk had two hits and two RBIs as the Cavs improved to 1-2 on Monday.

BOYS LACROSSE

Hollis Brookline 13, Milford 2

Ryan Walsh had four goals while Mike Buxbaum and Will Crosby added three apiece for the 2-1 Cavs. HB also got single goals by Cam Tulley, Ryan Olson, and Colin Loftus. Garrett Maloney (two saves) and Trevor Cooke (four saves) shared time in goal. Max Urda had two goals to lead the 0-3 Spartans, who got 12 saves by goalie Tim Gagnon.
